Rain is a very dangerous element that causes car accidents, slips and falls, flooding, and an array of other misfortunes. And while other people may get to run inside when it starts raining and not have to work outside there are people who must forge through the drenching: construction workers. This is why every construction worker should be outfitted with ample rain gear. The job does not end for these men and women simply because it starts to rain – every construction job is on a tight schedule that must be followed to finish on time.

Protective rain gear will not only keep the construction workers comfortably dry, it will also prevent them from becoming hypothermic in cooler temperatures. Quality rain gear is typically bright orange or yellow, making it very reflective for drivers to see. Rain safety gear comes in a variety of styles, including: two-piece suits, three piece suits, and long rain coats. Any of these selections coupled with a pair of rubber boots would ensure that workers remained dry while on the job.

Other safety supplies that constructions workers may want to have on site in case of rain is heavy duty tarps. Tarps are an effective way to quickly cover up any jobsite in case of a sudden storm. They will keep the work dry and prevent workers from having to return and redo a great deal of the work. Workers may also want to consider purchasing a winter liner to put inside their hard hat as it will keep their ears covered and warm in a rain storm.

While this is just a fraction of the construction safety supplies that every construction worker should have on the site it is a very important fraction. All of the rain gear should be worn simultaneously with other supplies, such as hard hats, safety glasses, and ear plugs.
